About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Service Consultant to join a growing SAP consulting environment, supporting clients in the design, implementation and optimisation of modern SAP Service solutions. This is an opportunity to work on challenging transformation projects, helping organisations modernise their service operations, streamline end-to-end processes and maximise the value of their SAP landscape. You will work closely with clients and project teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions, contributing throughout the project lifecycle — from initial requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, testing and go-live. The ideal candidate combines strong SAP Service process knowledge with hands-on consulting experience and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at both business and technical levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Service solutions as part of client transformation projects.
  • Analyse existing service processes and identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and improvement.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP solution designs.
  • Configure SAP Service functionality in line with client requirements and SAP best practices.
  • Work across end-to-end service processes, including service order management, service contracts, service quotations, service execution and billing integration, where relevant to the project scope.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers and other SAP functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support workshops, process mapping, fit-to-standard analysis and solution validation.
  • Contribute to functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect resolution.
  • Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live activities and post-implementation stabilisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery through standard SAP capabilities and emerging S/4HANA functionality.
  • Produce functional documentation and support knowledge transfer to client teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, providing functional expertise and guidance throughout the transformation journey.

Your experience and skills

  • Several years of experience working as an SAP Service Consultant within a consulting firm or a comparable SAP project environment.
  • Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Service, ideally gained through implementation or transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of service-related business processes, including service management, service orders, contracts, quotations and service billing.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional SAP solutions.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration points with relevant areas such as SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI/CO) and logistics.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
  • A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering high-quality client outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Fluent German and good English skills, with the confidence to work directly with German-speaking clients.

Desirable experience

  • Experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Service implementations or complex system transformations.
  • Exposure to SAP Customer Service (CS) or SAP Service Management in legacy environments, including migration to S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications and modern SAP user experiences.
  • Experience with service-related integrations across sales, logistics, finance and asset management.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate, fit-to-standard workshops and agile or hybrid project delivery.
  • Experience with SAP cloud solutions or hybrid SAP landscapes.
