Deloitte Australia has restructured its SAP service portfolio to centre on cloud migration, automation, and AI integration. RISE and GROW sit at the core. Business AI, Business Data Cloud, and the planned Zora AI integration with Joule round out the offering. It is a comprehensive repositioning, and it signals something important for SAP consultants across the DACH region.
The integrator model has always shaped the talent market. When partners repackage their services, they also rewrite their hiring criteria. A catalogue built around RISE with embedded AI assistants requires a different consultant profile than one built around on-premise upgrades and custom ABAP development. Our recent SAP mandates already specify hybrid expertise: candidates who can run a cloud migration and also sit credibly in a steering committee discussing AI-augmented process automation.
For senior SAP professionals, the implication is direct. The partners driving enterprise implementations favour consultants who can move between technical configuration and strategic advisory. Cloud architecture fluency and a working understanding of where AI fits into the SAP roadmap now appear in nearly every senior role specification we take. A consultant we placed into a Munich manufacturing company last quarter told us the client conversations have changed: she now spends as much time discussing Business Data Cloud as core finance configuration.
Companies considering their SAP partner relationships should expect similar repositioning across the major integrators in the coming year. The consulting teams they work with will look different. The consultants sitting in project rooms will be assessed against different criteria. For hiring managers staffing internal SAP teams, the benchmark has moved. The profiles that fit a RISE-first, AI-adjacent implementation prioritise cloud fluency, cross-functional communication, and comfort with SAP’s evolving AI tooling.
